Betty Lou Turner, 81, of Lebanon, died Thursday evening, March 23, 2023, in her home in Lebanon.

She was born Nov. 3, 1941 in Dallas County to Louise Robie. Betty was raised in Dallas County and had a strong spirited personality from the beginning. She attended school in Dallas County and on June 1, 1957, she married her best friend and love of her life, Junior Turner. They shared almost 51 years of marriage before Junior passed away on May 19, 2008.

Betty was also preceded in death by her mother; her siblings, Charles Miller, Johnny Dibben and Tommy Miller.

She is survived by her siblings, Juanita Young and her husband, Bob of Eldridge; Sarah Wise of Richland; Elizabeth Moore of Lebanon and James Miller and his wife, Beverly of Wheatland; her nieces and nephews, Kim Durreman and husband David of Richland; Pam Inman and husband Gary, Bobby Wise, Jr. and wife Darina, and Stanley Moore and wife Robin, all of Lebanon; Angie Rumfelt and Bryan Young and wife Tammy, both of Eldridge; Larry Turner and wife Elizabeth of Bolivar; Linda Prim and husband Bobby of Springdale, Ark.; Jimmy Turner and wife Karen, Janet Turner, Terry and Sherry Turner, all of Buffalo; Jackie Turner and wife Brenda of Long Lane, and Shirley Flippin of Urbana, and Burley Turner and Loretta Turner of Buffalo, Missouri; and sisters-in-law, Hazel Turner and Maxine Smith, both of Buffalo; and a number of great-nieces and nephews and friends.

Betty was a hard worker with her husband, Junior. They raised hogs for many years on their farm in Dallas County. After they sold the farm, they moved to Lebanon.

She loved the Lord and had a strong faith. She and Junior attended the River of Life Pentecostal Church in Buffalo and the Holiness Church near Buffalo. They were very active in church.

Betty loved to play card games, fishing with her family, going to the river, and could often be found in her garden. Betty will be remembered as loving her family deeply and serving her Lord. She was a devoted and loving wife and her family and friends will miss her dearly.

Funeral services for Betty Lou Turner were held Monday, March 27, 2023, in the Mount Rose Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum. A memorial has been established the Stroke Foundation and donations may be made through the funeral home.
