Caleb Ray nails game-winning three-pointer to defeat Bolivar

Things got a little dicey between the Bolivar Liberators and Lebanon Yellowjackets on Friday night, but the Yellowjackets were victorious in a close contest on Senior Night. With 6.6 seconds remaining in the game, Bolivar senior and Northern Iowa basketball commit Kyle Pock knocked down two crucial free throws to give the Liberators (16-8 overall, 6-3 Ozark Conference) a 61-59 lead. Lebanon head coach Ryan Toombs used a timeout to draw up a play and had to decide to either go for the tie or win. He called upon junior Caleb Ray, who received the inbounds, split a double team to cross halfcourt, and pulled up from about 25 feet to bury a game-winning three-pointer with 1.1 seconds left. After a timeout from the Liberators, junior Wyatt Carr deflected the inbounds pass for the clock to run out. For more on this story see Saturday's LCR.
