Chamber plans annual banquet

Posted
The Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce has run out of seating at its annual March banquet, Executive Director Ashley Mahan said. When people ask for tables at the event now, she must put them on a waiting list. “I have a really, really good problem,” Mahan said. The annual dinner, held this year on March 13 at 5:30 p.m., intends to celebrate local Chamber members and give the community a glance at the Chamber’s plans for the upcoming year, Mahan said. The event will be located in the foyer of the Cowan Civic Center. Mahan attributed the rush of signups in part to the brevity of the speaking portion of the event and partly to the positive reception the event received last year. This year’s theme will be “Boots and Bling”, and Mahan said that the food will also be cowboy themed. The event’s social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. with an open bar, with food being served at 6:00 p.m. and the ceremony to follow. There will also be a silent auction during the dining portion. The awards are the same as last year and nominations are available for chamber members to submit until February 21. Awards include emerging business and legacy awards.
