Cheerleading team competes at Universal Cheerleading Associations

The Lebanon High School cheerleading team competed at the Universal Cheerleading Associations annual cheer camp (UCA) held at Drury University in Springfield.

At the camp, the cheerleading squad is able to learn new material as well as compete against squads from around the state and surrounding states in certain categories.

During this time, LHS brought home many accolades, including first place overall cheer, a trophy for being the only team to receive all superior ribbons all four days of the camp during evaluations, second place in the extreme routine division, camp overall top banana and the overall leadership plaque.

“To say I am just proud of this group would be an understatement.” Lebanon head cheer coach Lauren Jackson said. “We push them continuously to be the best the can be, not only as cheerleaders but as teammates as well. I believe they were able to overcome being tired, sore, and just mentally exhausted and work well with one another to achieve something great.

“I can’t wait to see what more we can accomplish this year and where the season will take us.”
