CLAUDE F. HICKEY

Claude F. Hickey, 89, of Richland, died Thursday, March 24, 2022, in Osage Beach.

She was born Oct. 20, 1932, in Turkey Ridge, Mo. to Floyd and Wilma Polly Hickey.

On Nov. 26, 1955, he married Shelby Jean Wagner.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Clark Pemberton; his wife Shelby Jean Hickey, who died April 26, 2018 and also by one son-in-law, Rodger Sloan.

After graduating from high school.  Claude entered the United States Air Force, where he proudly served our country until his retirement, after twenty-two years eight months and fifteen days. He obtained the rank of MSGT E-7. Once he returned home to the Richland community, he was an over the road truck driver for over twenty years. He also spent his days and nights tending to the needs of the farm. He was a giving neighbor and genuine friend. Claude was a member of Richland Masonic Lodge #385 and a former Teamsters Union member. He was family oriented and always put their needs first.

He is survived by his daughters Deborah Huber and Teresa Sloan both of Richland; three grandchildren, Selena Marie Montoya, Heather Jeannicole Hayes and Adam Nathaniel Huber; two great-grandchildren, Kirstyn Jeanne and Wyatt James; one sister, Catherine “Nell” Monk of Centerton, Ark.; half-sister, Carolyn Tarwater; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Claude F. Hickey will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Crocker Christian Church with Larry Richardson officiating.

Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in Richland, with military honors provided by the United States Air Force, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. until service time on Tuesday also at Crocker Christian Church.
