Conway boys advance to Iberia consolation finals

The Conway Bears bested the Tuscumbia Lions 67-61 (see score listing change in COUNTY) in the second round of the Iberia 61st Invitational Tournament on Thursday. This win let the team progress onwards to the tournament’s consolation final. Going into the match, Conway had a season record of 4-10 and had lost the first round of the tournament to Stoutland (76-69). Tuscumbia had a season record of 3-10 and had lost their first round against Dixon (73-34). The Lions took an early lead in the first period, though the Bears began to score in the second half. Conway scorers from this period included #12 Holden Lindley, #23 Brixon Bilyeu, and #32 Jackson Gunter. Conway still lagged behind Tuscumbia at the end of period, with the scoring sitting at 18-12. The Bears seized the lead in the second period, with additional scoring from #35 Mason Miller, #10 Colton Cooley, #20 Evan Peters, and #3 Ryan Vaughan.
