The Lebanon City Council approved placing the proposal on the ballot at its regular meeting Monday night.
Background on the tax was provided in a written addendum to the meeting agenda from City Administrator Troy Schulte. “On Aug. 3, 1999, Voters of the City of Lebanon approved a lodging tax of 2.5% on all lodging tax on the charges for each sleeping room or campsite occupied and rented by transient guests of hotels, motels, lodges, bed and breakfast inns, and campgrounds located within the City,” he wrote.
