County Commission considers funding for Chamber of Commerce

Posted
The Laclede County Commission heard from the Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce Tuesday morning on the organization’s County Development Tax application. Executive Director Ashley Mahan, Board President Emily Huckaby and other board members were in attendance. After Mahan gave a general overview of the request, which asks for $20,000, Huckaby noted that the amount would go towards organizational growth and act as a safety net. Board member Jeff Stokes noted some of the line items listed in the application, which include infrastructural and outreach projects. “I just feel that the direction we’re heading in is one that you guys would be proud of,” Huckaby said.
