David Edward Lowery, 81, of Grovespring, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021, in Grovespring.

He was born Oct. 16, 1940, in Grovespring, Mo. to Cleaman and Joyce May Palmer Lowery.

David was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.

David attended Mt. Olive country school in the Grovespring area. Following school, he worked very hard to provide for his family. For a time he drove wooden fence posts for one dollar a day, he also worked in the Kansas City area and was later employed with Detroit Tool for the next 25 years before retiring in 2002. After whittling on the porch for a very short time, he returned to work and spent the next 15 years, traying eggs at the Cackle Hatchery whenever they needed him, a job he loved.

He is survived by three sons, Ronald Lowery and his wife Vickie of Grovespring; Pete Baldwin and his wife Lesley of Marshfield, and Dave Lowery of the state of Missouri; eight grandchildren, Ryan and Tyler Lowery of Groverspring; Caye Lowery and her fiancé` C. J. Woolsey of Lebanon; Colby McClain of the state of Mississippi, Candace McClain of Lebanon, and Amber, Kristen and Sydney Lowery of Lebanon;  nine great-grandchildren, Emma, Aiden, Ryleigh, Addie, Weston, Kristian, Wrynley, Katlyn and Kolton; by three sisters and two brothers; other relatives and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life for David Edward Lowery will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, at Alfords Pub and Grill, 2071 W. Elm Street, Lebanon, Mo., under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. Memorials in lieu of flowers in memory of David can be made to a “Go Me Fund Account’’ or donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, P.O.
