Dick Wakefield, 87, of Hartville, was born March 8, 1937, in Hartville to Earl and Alma Wakefield and died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024, at Lebanon South Nursing and Rehab in Lebanon.
He is survived by his wife Millie; five children, Mike Wakefield (Tricia) of Thompson Station, Tenn., Tim Wakefield (Becky) of Siloam Springs, Ark., Tom Jones (Sarah) of Bolivar, Mitzi Wakefield of Linn Creek, Rick Wakefield (Donetta) of Phillipsburg; 12 grandchildren; five stepchildren, Tim Brooks (Christie) of Memphis, Tenn., Shelina Johnson (Stephen) of Henderson, Tenn., Tammy Brooks of Jackson, Tenn., Jordan Brooks of Henderson, Tenn., Michael Brooks of Henderson, Tenn.; five step-grandchildren, and one brother, Bill Wakefield of Daleville, Va.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, at Little Creek Baptist Church near Hartville. Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, 2024, at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home in Hartville.
Memorials may be made to the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home.
