Earl “Henry’’ Coryell, 76, of Pekin, Ill., formerly of Lebanon, died Monday, June 20, 2022, in Peoria, Ill.

He was born June 9, 1946, in Lebanon, Mo. to Virgil and Grace McDaniel Coryell.

On Jan. 14, 1967, he married Edna Yates and on June 27, 2009, he married Vicky Rickard.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Edna (Yates) Coryell on April 19, 2005; one daughter, Christine Coryell; three brothers, and one sister.

Henry was a truck driver for the majority of his life and he loved it. He never met a stranger and his occupation allowed him to meet people from all walks of life. He enjoyed gardening and tinkering with classic cars. Spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and picking on them endlessly is what he most enjoyed.

He is survived by his wife Vicky; two sons, Michael Coryell and his wife Christina, Daren Coryell and his wife Leslie; two daughters, Daressa Smith and her husband Matt and Starla Holden and her husband Jason; one sister, Florence Dull; nine grandchildren, Daniel, Ashton, Reinah, Logan, Isaac, Truett, Adalyn, Maeva and Hadley; three great-grandchildren, Cyrus, Amelia and Liam; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and countless friends.

Funeral services for Earl “Henry’’ Coryell will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Pastor Kelly Rhoades officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, also at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
