Two City of Lebanon employees, whose families have a long history working for the city, are set to retire

Two City of Lebanon employees who are departing this month leave behind long family histories of municipal work. Employees Steve Hemphill and Vickie Lawson Jones, who are brother and sister in law, refelect back on their families histories with the city as they prepare for retirement. Vickie Lawson Jones is a GIS technician for the codes department. Jones said a Lawson family member has been working for the City of Lebanon since 1935, a total 86 years. They are, her grandfather Opal William Lawson from 1935 to October 1955, her father William (Bill) Lawson from July 1955 to September 1998, her Uncle Tommy Lawson from March 1960 to April 2001 and herself from April 2000 to December 2021.
