HOWARD WAYNE HARRILL

Howard Wayne Harrill, 77, of Lebanon, died Monday, March 14, 2022.

He was born Feb. 23, 1945, to William “Bill’’ and Clara (Peterson) Harrill.

On Feb. 17, 1995, he married Mary Lou Munday.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; one brother; two great-granddaughters, Abigail and Gabrielle.

He grew up in Lebanon and was a Lebanon High School graduate. He served in the United States Army and lived most of his life in the Lebanon area. Howard worked as an over the road truck driver. He served as president of the Vietnam Veterans Association, and served on the American Legion Board of Directors. Howard also was a member-at-large for the AAMVC which oversees the Missouri Veterans Cemeteries. He enjoyed drinking coffee with his friends and selling sweet potatoes for the local veterans groups.

Howard grew up in the Antioch Baptist Church but was currently a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lebanon.

He is survived by his wife Mary Harrill of the home; three sons, Wayne Harrill and his wife Melissa of Cash, Okla.; Jeff Harrill and his wife Stacy of Lebanon, and Justin Harrill and his wife Ashley of Lebanon; two brothers, Bill Harrill and his wife Vera of Lebanon, and Stanley Harrill and his wife Debbie of Lebanon; two sisters, Linda Harrill of Lebanon, and Gloria Lackey of Bessemer City, N.C.; eight grandchildren, and two stepchildren.

Graveside services and burial for Howard Wayne Harrill will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2022, in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Fort Leonard Wood, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.

Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2022, in the funeral home.

A memorial has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
