The Lebanon City Council has unanimously approved the appointment of Ben DeClue as Interim City Administrator, following the resignation of City Administrator Mike Schumacherm the city announced Monday.
Schumacher is set to assume the role of City Manager in St. Joseph, with his final day in Lebanon scheduled for Jan. 14.
DeClue, who begins his role on Jan. 6, is no stranger to Lebanon. He previously served the city as Acting City Administrator during a prior leadership transition in 2017 and 2018. Before that, he served as Lebanon Assistant to the City Administrator.
In a press release, the city said DeClue brings extensive municipal experience, including serving as City Administrator in Glendale and Interim City Administrator in Ozark.
