The Lady Yellowjackets won their first home game of basketball against the Nevada Tigers 56-48 on Tuesday. This along with their win against Webb City on Monday sets their season record at 2-0. The ‘Jackets faced fresh opponents in Nevada’s first game of the season.
Before the game, LHS’s basketball program recognized the Popcorn basketball program. Several of the Lady ‘Jackets coach teams in the youth program for second to fifth graders.
The ‘Jackets took the first points of the game, with the Tigers close behind. The scores between the two teams widened as the period continued, however. Senior Faith Coffman scored the final point of the first period, setting the score at 19-9.
