James “Jim’’ Adrian Sherrer, 64, of Lebanon, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.

He was born Feb. 7, 1957, in Sleeper, Mo. to Adrian and Doris Nutter Sherrer.

On Aug. 25, 1980, he married Maxine Elaine Ward. They made their home in Lebanon and together they raised three children, two sons and a daughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren, Jalie Luke and Memphis Sherrer; a brother, Smoky; and a sister, Connie.

Jim was born and raised in Laclede County and enjoyed playing basketball at school. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served for 20 years. He was a boiler tech for the Navy. After leaving the service, he returned to Lebanon and became a brick layer.

He is survived by his wife Maxine of the home; his children, Justin Ward, April Luke and James Sherrer, all of Lebanon; his grandchildren, Hope Teubner, Justin Ward, Alecia Parrish, Chloe Luke, Bella Luke, Maylee Luke, Dallas Sherrer, and Natalie Sherrer; his siblings, Dianna Atwell of Eldon; Sue Ellen Strat of the state of Nebraska and Daniel Sherrer of Dixon.

Funeral services with full military honors for James “Jim’’ Adrian Sherrer will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon with Rick Hill and Don Brenton officiating. Burial will be in the Barnett Cemetery near Sleeper under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
