JAMES THOMAS “TOM’’ GOODENOUGH

James Thomas Goodenough, 57, of Lebanon, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2022, at Lebanon South Nursing & Rehabilitation in Lebanon.

He was born Jan. 24, 1965, in Springfield, Mo.

Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Rona Vestal and his father Ronnie Jackson.

He was raised in the Lebanon area, and graduated from Lebanon High School. He worked for numerous car dealerships through the years, and was a service technician at a BMW dealership for a time. He loved music and always had a story to tell. He liked spending time with his family and friends and always started every conversation with “What did we have for dinner’’?

He is survived by two sons, Justin Jones of Springfield, and Jason Jones and his wife Nikki of Oklahoma City, Okla.; four grandchildren; a brother, Ronald Dean Jackson and his wife Koretta of Springfield; numerous nieces and nephews; an aunt, Mary Grospitch and her husband Steve of Olathe, Kan.; a cousin, Reggie Jackson and his wife Stephanie of Lebanon ; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service for James Thomas Goodenough will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon with Darrell Calton officiating.

Burial will be in the Saint Luke Cemetery in Webster County, Mo. under the care and direction of Holman-Howe of Lebanon

Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 7, following the service in the funeral home under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon. A memorial has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
