Jimmie Ronald Smithmier, 86, of St. Robert, died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022, in the Osage Beach Health and Rehab of Osage Beach.

He is survived by one daughter, Debbie Newberry (John) of Jefferson City; three sisters, Dorothy Alsup (James Arley) of Sebring, Fla.; Carolyn Sheehy (Bill) of Ironton, and Marilyn Miller (Jackie) of Jackson, Mo.; three grandchildren, Kyle Snellen (Virginia) of Republic; Brent Newberry (Ashley) of Fulton, and Shelby Newberry of Jefferson City; two great-grandchildren, Hunter Smith and River Snellen; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Jimmie Ronald Smithmier will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022, in the Waypoint Methodist Church of Waynesville. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery of Waynesville under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Waypoint Methodist Church of Waynesville. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Missouri Honor Flight and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert.
