Joanie Posten, 64, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, June 7, 2022, in Lebanon.

She was born Aug. 7, 1957, in Lebanon, Mo. to Bobbie and Joan Pratt Lewis.

On Sept. 15, 1984, she married David Posten.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband David Avery Posten on Dec. 10, 2020; one grandson, Grant Posten, and one brother-in-law, Carl Posten.

Joanie graduated from Lebanon High School with the class of 1976. She was a devoted homemaker and caregiver to many in the Lebanon area. She enjoyed crafts and ending to her flower garden. However, she most treasured time spent and memories made with her family. They were most important to her.

She made a profession of faith in Christ at a young age.

Survivors include three sons, Matthew Posten and his wife Katie of New Albany, Ind.; Kelly Posten and his wife Sharon of Kansas City, Mo. and Nathan Posten and his wife Kama of Ozark; one daughter, Kimberly Jarvis and her husband Buddie of Jefferson City; two brothers, Gary Lewis and his wife Jody of Grovespring, and Joe Lewis of Lebanon; nine grandchildren, Ali, Abby, Conner, Brett, Wyatt, Hudson, Levi, Ronan and Margot; brothers-in-law, Eddie Posten and his wife Melinda of Lebanon, and Don Posten and Timothy of Blue Springs; sisters-in-law, Cora Hake and her husband Todd of Blue Springs, and Sharon Posten of Richland; other relatives and many dear friends.

There is no service planned at this time for Joanie Posten. Her body is to be cremated under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
