John Eugene Harris, 54, of Conway, died Sunday, June 19, 2022, in Conway.

He was born Sept. 20, 1967, in Tempe, Ariz. to Roland “Shorty’’ Harris and Norma Hoffman Harris, who preceded him in death.

John owned his own businesses through the years, Ace Muffler in Waynesville, and S&S Auto in Conway. He enjoyed working on cars and loved classic cars and anything to do with history. He most recently was a substitute teacher in the Conway and Marshfield schools. He was passionately about coaching soccer and led a traveling team for years throughout the region and country. He loved his soccer kids and would do anything he could to help them succeed. More than anything, he loved his children and family and time spent with them.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Conway.

Survivors include his children, Trinity Harris and Scott Sanders of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Keegan Harris of Lebanon; siblings, Mike Harris and his wife Jackie of Conway; Tony Harris and wife Allison of West Plains; Monty Harris of Phillipsburg; Jean Plante and husband Victor of Marshfield, and Lucille Harris and significant other, Ron Wallace of Phillipsburg; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, soccer kids and many friends.

Funeral Mass for John Harris will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Conway with Father Simon Mario Enudu celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in Lonesome Hill Cemetery under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. A Rosary service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday with visitation to follow at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
