Children received the opportunity to shop at Walmart with law enforcement officials on Saturday, with Lebanon Police Department Lieutenant Kacie Springer reporting 219 children in attendance.
The annual event is made possible through community donations, and Springer added that children were given $150 to spend.
Springer noted that members of the Laclede County Sheriff’s Office, the LPD, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol along with their family members worked the event. Interact and GOCAPS students from the R-3 School District volunteered as well, she said.
