The Laclede County R-1 School Board has selected Matthew Searson to serve as superintendent beginning with the 2023-24 school year.
The board made the decision Friday.
Searson served for many years at Lebanon High School beginning as a social studies teacher and later served as the Junior High Principal.
He then took a position at New Covenant Academy where he served as a superintendent for the last 14 years.
