Larry Paul Waters, 55, of Lebanon, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023, in Springfield.
He was born Aug. 5, 1967, to Loran and Lorene Schweitzer Waters.
On April 17, 1987, he was united in marriage to Jeannie Estelle Odom.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jeannie Waters on June 16, 2017; one brother, David Waters, and sister-in-law, Betty Waters.
Larry worked for 35 years for Jim Rogers at Bennett Spring State Park. He was also the manager at Bennett Spring Inn.
Larry was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
He is survived by three brothers, Andy Swartzlander and his wife Jenna of Lebanon; Dale Waters and his wife Tina of Lynchburg, and Gene Trudgeon of Lebanon; a half brother, Brian Henson of Lebanon; three sisters, Wilma Swartzlander and her husband Ron of Lebanon; Dorothy Renfro and her husband Fred of Avon Park, Fla. and Mary Sloan and her husband Chris of Lebanon; aunt and uncle, Sandra and Larry Churchill of Eldridge; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Larry Paul Waters will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Pastor Eddie Bone officiating. Burial will be at Hufft Cemetery in Eldridge. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 1 at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. Memorials have been suggested to Kidney Dialysis Foundation or American Diabetes Association.
