Lebanon basketball is in good hands under Ryan Toombs

When Bill Brown stepped down as the Lebanon High School boys’ basketball coach in the middle of the 2020-21 season, many were concerned about what would be next for the program. Brown, who played collegiate basketball at Southwest Missouri State (now MSU) and Tulsa before starting a successful coaching career that saw him make stops at the University of Minnesota, Parkview, Lebanon, and Richland, resigned from his position on Feb. 12, 2021. He had led LHS to records of 13-11 and 17-10 before bowing out in the middle of a 2-21 season. The Yellowjackets moved assistant coach Zach Miller to an interim head coaching role as LHS went 0-4 in the season’s final stretch and lost to Parkview in the Class 6 District 10 tournament.
