Lebanon beats Buffalo in first round

A dominant first half proved to be enough as the state-ranked Lebanon High School girls’ basketball team cruised past the Buffalo Lady Bison in the first round of the 10th Annual Pink and White Lady Basketball Classic on Monday afternoon in Springfield, 70-47. Behind a game-high 26 points, 11 rebounds, and three steals from junior standout Raegan McCowan, the Lady ‘Jackets advanced to the quarterfinal round. “I thought we came out and established ourselves with a quick 18-4 run, and I was pleased with that,” head coach Jacky Payne said after the win. “We made some shots and weren’t flat on our heels.
