Lebanon cruises past Camdenton to advance to district title

No matter the records between both teams, you can always expect fireworks when the Lebanon Yellowjackets and Camdenton Lakers take the field, especially in a playoff game.

The Yellowjackets got their redemption for two previous playoff losses to the Lakers, defeating Camdenton on Friday night in the Class 5 District 5 semifinals, 35-14.

Lebanon (9-1 overall) will advance to the district championship game for the fifth-straight season and face the Glendale Falcons next Friday night at ‘Jacket Stadium.

“That game was probably a good wake-up call for us,” head coach Will Christian said after the win. “Coming in, I anticipated that they would try to shorten the game and keep the ball away from us. We weren’t fit good early at times, but we played great defense in the first half."
