recognized at science competitions

Students from Lebanon High School Research Class have been recognized in multiple science competitions, earning over $15,000 in scholarships, awards, and sponsored travel. Their research projects were recognized recently at the Ozarks Science and Engineering Fair (OSEF) on March 13, Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS), and Missouri Junior Academy of Science (MJAS).
At OSEF, Kasey Hicks was named Grand Champion and an International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) Finalist, earning a spot at the prestigious ISEF competition in Columbus, Ohio. Another student, Opal Antoszewski, was selected as an ISEF Alternate. Elizabeth Hauser also finished at the top of the physics and engineering category. The competition also saw Lebanon students earn a total of three first-place category winners, three second-place finishers, and multiple special award recipients.
On Feb. 21, at JSHS, Zeb Bruna, qualified for the National JSHS competition in Chantilly, Va., where he will present his project along with students from all 50 states and from multiple DOD schools from around the world.
