Posted
Retro Report, an independent, nonprofit news organization, on Tuesday announced that a Lebanon teacher will serve on its 2025 Class of Teacher Advisors, which includes a special council of 25 educators from across the country responsible for creating lesson plans, student activities, and interactive resources. Amanda Perschall, a teacher at Lebanon High School is one of the 25 members of the council. She explained her role in an email to the Record. “Retro Report is an amazing nonprofit, non-partisan journalism organization that focuses on short form documentaries and free classroom resources, often partnering with news organizations such as PBS. I applied to participate with them and was selected as one of the 25 Council of Educators members,” she wrote. “I’ll be helping to create lesson plans and classroom resources while promoting their offerings to other educators. This summer, I'll be traveling to New York City to work with them at their offices. I'm honored to be working alongside talented, impressive educators from across the country with such a helpful organization that is committed to providing quality resources to classrooms.” According to a Retro Report press release, Retro Report Advisors help to create free classroom resources that engage students of all learning styles and complement the organization’s library of over 300 award-winning short and long-form documentaries that combine journalism with history, civics and media literacy education.
