The Lebanon High School boys tennis team capped off a week of victories by winning their championship match against Rolla in the Lebanon and Camdenton Invitational Tournament on Saturday.
The championship match was preceded by the ‘Jackets taking first (3-0) in their home tournament on Thursday, facing competitors from Waynesville, Osage, and Willow Springs. Crowell explained that the winners of the Lebanon and Camdenton Tournaments then face one another for the championship title.
Crowell reported the ‘Jackets have played at the tournament’s championship match the previous two seasons but had not yet won, further citing “fantastic” tennis from the ‘Jackets.
He added that Ethan Fisher and Conor McGruder won in both singles and doubles by playing some of their best tennis in the season. Further, Crowell said that Josh Rogers and Teigan Vance won a close doubles match. Rogers and Denver Woodruff also played well in singles play, he added.
“It was a true team effort, and they played well in a big match!” Crowell wrote.
