If Laclede County residents wonder what Rob Day’s post-retirement plans are, they can call the Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church after July.
The Methodist pastor and retired City of Lebanon employee, who has lived in Laclede County for all 62 years of his life and in Lebanon since he was 10, will move to Caruthersville July 1 to begin a full-time ministry.
“I received a call from the Missouri Conference [of the United Methodist Church], from my superintendent,” Day said. “They meet every year to see if any pastors need to be moved. And there was an opportunity to go into full-time ministry. I’ve been bivocational because I’ve had a job with the city.”
