Margaret Ethel Greer, 73, of Waynesville, died Wednesday, July 14, 2021, in Waynesville.

She was born Oct. 31, 1947, in Pulaski County, Mo. to Clyde and Rose Belle Howard Carrell.

On July 2, 1965, she married John Henry Greer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years, John Henry Greer and one brother, Carl “Sonny’’ Carrell.

Margaret graduated from Richland High School, Class of 1965. She worked as a clerk/typist in various offices in Fort Leonard Wood for over 36 years. After retirement from there, she worked at St. Robert Wal-Mart for five years. She enjoyed the beach, her flowers, playing solitaire and she liked traveling with family and friends. She loved anything Elvis and adored her dog Ozzie. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her kids and grandkids

She was a faithful member of Center Point Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Michele Lippy and husband Bill of Waynesville; John Greer and wife Marsha of Katy, Texas, and Michael Greer and wife Cindy of Waynesville; grandchildren, Jeremy Jones, Matthew Jones and Sophia Greer; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Margaret Ethel Greer will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2021, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with the Rev. James Desjardins officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until service time at 6 p.m. Monday at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. A memorial has been established to Center Point Baptist Church.
