Martin M. “Dean” Miller, of Sandwich, MA passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 23, 2024, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He was the husband of Janice S. (Elam) Miller who he was lovingly married to for 61 years.
Born in Springfield, Missouri, he was the son of the late Eldon and Henrietta (Johnson) Miller. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Mr. Miller worked as a lineman for over 35 years at United Telephone Company before retiring in 2005.
He enjoyed sailing and golfing; however, his true devotion was caring for his wife and spending time with his family. He was also very active in his church, serving for many years as a deacon and helping others.
He is survived by his only son, John B. Miller, his wife Laurie, and their two beautiful granddaughters, Emily and Abigail, all of East Sandwich, MA. He is also survived by his sister, Wanda Kasalis, of Villa Park, IL, along with many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service was held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Christ Chapelm 1200 Old Stage Road Centerville, MA. Burial followed at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
