Lebanon Mayor Jared Carr is set to honor exceptional volunteerism this spring through the Mayor Lyle Anderson Gold Leaf Award for Volunteer Service. This recognition will be presented during the April 28 city council meeting The award distinguishes two outstanding individuals — one youth and one adult — for their voluntary contributions to the community. Eligible candidates must either reside in Lebanon or have performed their volunteer activities within the city limits, and their volunteer activity must have been completed within the last 12 months. The youth award is designated for individuals under the age of 18 at the time of their service, while the adult award is open to those aged 18 and over. Following the award ceremony, the names of the 2025 winners will be inscribed on a commemorative plaque displayed within Lebanon City Hall, joining previous honorees. The 2024 recipients of the award were adult honoree Emily Huckaby and youth honoree Cash Vickers. “Volunteerism is the foundation of a strong and connected community,” said Mayor Jared Carr in a press release. “This award allows us to recognize those who dedicate their time and effort to making Lebanon a better place for everyone. Their selfless service is truly inspiring, and we are grateful for their contributions.” Initiated in 2019, the Mayor Lyle Anderson Gold Leaf Award has recognized numerous individuals for their dedication to community service.
