'Jacket Stadium at LHS is getting a turf upgrade

Posted
Renovations on the ‘Jacket Stadium turf field on the campus of Lebanon High School are underway after the Lebanon R-3 School Board approved the $373,000 project at a meeting in January. This project comes just nine years since the installation of the first turf field at LHS in 2012. Funding came from community donors the first go-around, but this time, Lebanon R-3, will provide the money for renovations.  The new turf is expected to arrive on June 21, with the project being completed by the first week of July. In the meantime, the Lebanon High School varsity football team is practicing on a grass field for the first time in almost 10 years. R-3 Activities Director and head football coach Will Christian is grateful that the community has supported the new project and looks forward to seeing it complete.
