Patricia Ann “Pat’’ Smith, 87, of Lebanon, died Friday, Dec. 10, 2021, in Springfield.
She was born April 5, 1934, in Montana to L.G. and Myrtle Tanner.
On July 26, 1960, she and Robert “Bob’’ Smith III eloped and they were married in a church in New Port, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert “Bob’’ Smith III on Jan. 16, 2010; and one son, Stephen Tanner Smith.
Pat was a devoted homemaker for many years. She loved her family and friends deeply.
She is survived by one sister-in-law, Brenda Templeton and Dwight Guy of Flat Rock, N.C., and a host of friends.
A memorial service for Patricia Ann “Pat’’ Smith will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
Burial will be at a later date at Union Cemetery in Newport, Tenn. At her request, her body will be cremated under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. There is no scheduled visitation.
