The Lebanon R-3 Board of Education heard a public concern over predicted increases in its tax levy rates during Tuesday’s meeting. The concern is part of a wider trend sparked by state-mandated increases of assessed property values.
Citizen Susie Williams asked the school board to cut down a projected revenue increase from adjustments to assessed property values, requesting a reduction to 5% increase to help its community members amid predicted tax increases in the future.
