Robert “Bob” Ray Cole Jr., of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Carol L. Cole; cherished son of the late LaVera and Robert Ray Cole Sr.; devoted father of Angela (Joshua) Bonstead and Stephanie Clark; loving grandfather of David Bonstead, Colbin Clark, Clara Bonstead, and Brody Clark.
Bob, a 1962 graduate of Lebanon High School, had a lifelong passion for science, which led him to the University of Missouri, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, followed by a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from the University of Missouri - Rolla. He had a fulfilling career at McDonnell Douglas and retired from Boeing in 1999.
In June of 2024, Bob and his beloved wife, Carol Cole, celebrated 57 years of marriage, sharing a life full of love and adventure as they traveled the world together. Family and friends were at the heart of Bob’s life; he cherished time spent at the lake with his family and maintained close connections with his childhood friends from Lebanon.
A Celebration of Life will take place at First St. Charles United Methodist Church, Saturday, August 31 at 2:00pm. Reception to follow in the church Atrium. Those who wish to honor Bob’s memory, please donate to the charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
