ROSALIE ELAM

Rosalie Elam, 88, of Lebanon, died Wednesday morning, Dec. 22, 2021, at Lebanon North Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lebanon.

She was born July 11, 1933, near Abo, Mo. to Roy S. and Gladys A. Randolph Wright.

On Feb. 24, 1952, she married Reverend Lee J. Elam.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lee on Nov. 19, 2014; three brothers, Russell, Richard, and Robert Wright.

Rosalie and Lee made their home in Southern California for many years before retiring to their hometown of Lebanon, where Rosalie cared for Lee after he became ill and until his death. Rosalie excelled as a bookkeeper and worked for various car dealerships in Missouri, Mississippi, and California.

She was a devoted pastor’s wife and a dedicated member of Second Baptist Church in Lebanon.

Survivors include a brother, Ron Wright, and his wife, Lenna, of Menifee, Calif.; three sisters, Mary Jo Wright, and her husband, Jim, of Menifee, Calif.; Evelyn Ginn, and Victoria Schlicht, both of Lebanon; Jim Elam, whom they raised, and his wife, Gail, and their son, Andrew, of Roberts, Ill.; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Private family services for Rosalie Elam were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2021, at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon with Chaplain Paul Posey officiating.

Burial was in Mount Rose Memorial Park in Lebanon under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
