Ruby L. Greene, 87, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, in Lebanon.
She was born Jan. 31, 1934, in Lebanon, Mo. to Ruben and Media Griffin Broyles.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands, Eugene Piercy, Don Wright and Clyde Greene; six brothers, Clarence, Lawrence, Freeman, Dean, Dale and Lowell Broyles; three sisters in infancy; and her son-in-law, Jack DeSelms.
Ruby’s top priority was tending to the needs of her family. However, she did work outside her home for a period of time. She owned and operated Wright Cabinet Shop and later worked at Ramey Supermarket. In her free time, she enjoyed fishing, reading, and “trying her luck’’ at the casinos. However, she most enjoyed time spent with her family.
She is survived by one daughter, Paula DeSelms of Lebanon; two grandsons, Miles DeSelms and Wes DeSelms; two great-granddaughters, Kara Chastain and her husband Garrett and Jenna DeSelms; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Ruby L. Greene will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Pastor David Oberdieck officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch/Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, also at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
