SHIRLEY ANN HAWKINS

Shirley Ann Hawkins, 82, of Lebanon, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, in Lebanon.

She was born July 1, 1939, in Whittier, Calif. to John Milton and China LaVerne Burke Walker.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters in infancy, Mary Eleanor Walker and Georgie Mary Walker.

She attended Kapp rural school and later Lebanon High School, graduating with the class of 1958. She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed attending North family reunions. She was always on the go, traveling on the OATS bus to various shopping excursions and also enjoyed attending gospel sings.

Shirley was a longtime member of Greenhills Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Michelle Hawkins of Lebanon; two grandchildren, Ryan Terry Hawkins Glassman and Danielle Faye Glassman; several cousins, including Robert and Amy Burke of Lebanon; other relatives, church family and many friends.

A graveside service and burial for Shirley Ann Hawkins will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022, at Lebanon Cemetery with Pastor Nathan Ruble officiating, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. There is no scheduled visitation.

Memorials have been established to Greenhills Free Will Baptist Church, St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Integrity Hospice. Donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, P.O. Box 948 or 1001 N. Lynn, Lebanon, Mo. 65536.
