Soccer team places second at home tournament

After a year off due to the cancellation of spring sports in 2020, the Lebanon High School girls’ soccer team kicked off their season with the Lebanon Heritage Bank tournament on Friday and Saturday. The Lady ‘Jackets (2-1 overall) advanced to the championship game before falling to Southern Boone, 2-0 on Saturday evening. It was the only game of the tournament where LHS was held scoreless, but head coach Matt Jernigan was still proud of the team’s effort. “Southern Boone is a solid squad and will have a real good season this year,” he stated. “They have a lot of depth and some solid talent across the board.
