VIOLA FAYE BLANKENSHIP

Viola Faye Blankenship, 65, of Lebanon, died Monday, March 13, 2023.

She was born Aug. 8, 1957, in Laclede County to Lester and Betty Pauline Dismang Anglen.

Viola was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Betty Waters and Jackie Anglen.

She graduated from Lebanon High School with the class of 1975. She has worked for Crosslines Ministry for the past 30 years and has been the director for over 12 of those years. She had a servant heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. She worked hard and was generous to a fault. She loved chickens, collecting arrowheads, fishing and mushroom hunting. She loved wrestling and watched it five nights a week. However, time spent with her family is what she treasured most.

She is survived by three sons, Jared Blankenship of Buffalo; Devin Blankenship of Lebanon, and Derek Blankenship and Courtney Perkins of Lebanon; eight grandchildren, Chloe, Kaitlynn, Elias, Jackson, Austin, Wyatt, Mason and Matthew; one brother, Howard Anglen and his wife Cindy of Long Lane; one sister, Vickie Wilson and her husband Lonnie of Lebanon,; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Viola Faye Blankenship were held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2023, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. Burial was in Atchley-Blackfoot Cemetery. Visitation was from noon until service time Friday at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Viola’s family to help with funeral expenses.
