The dynasty that is Lebanon High School girls’ wrestling continued to roll as the Lady ‘Jackets captured the MSHSAA Class 2 State Championship on Saturday evening at Mizzou Arena.  It is the fourth state team championship for the girls’ team in five years, and their third straight overall. “It’s pretty special to pull off three (State Championships) in a row,” Lebanon head coach Matt Neely said. “I think it shows how much dedication and work these girls put in on a day-to-day basis. We wrestled pretty well and made a few mistakes in a few matches, but that happens, and you have to come back the next match and do your best, and that’s what they did.” Lebanon finished with 134.5 team points throughout the two-day tournament, finishing higher than second-place Marquette by 29.5 points. Liberty came in third place with 97 points, while Nixa was fourth with 89. For more on this story see Wednesday's LCR.
