Wilbert “Wib’’ Ivey, 88, of Lebanon, died Friday, March 18, 2022, in Lebanon.

He was born Aug. 21, 1933, in Brush Creek, Mo. to Earl and Hazel Barnett Ivey.

On March 30, 1956, he married Wilma Dampier.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Bradley Jay Ivey, and two grandsons, Hunter and Mason Ivey.

After graduating from high school, Wib entered the United States Army and proudly served our country. When he returned home, Wib worked in carpet and vinyl installation the majority of his life. He enjoyed fox hunting, mainly to hear his hounds run and loved tending to his cattle. Most important was the relationship he shared with Wilma and Tyler. They were his greatest accomplishment and top priority.

He is is survived by his wife of nearly 66 years, Wilma (Dampier) Ivey; one son, Tyler Ivey and his wife Samantha of Lebanon; three grandchildren, Kerstynn, Austin and Gabe; other relatives and many friends.

A graveside service and burial for Wilbert “Wib’’ Ivey will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Lonesome Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. There is no scheduled visitation. Memorials have been suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or Lonesome Hill Cemetery.
