William “Wayne’’ York, 78, of Marshfield, formerly of Sleeper, was born Jan. 2, 1947, in Springfield to William Lawrence and Eula Victoria (Gilbert) York and died Friday, June 6, 2025, at his home.
He is survived by his wife Linda of the home; two sons, David York and his wife Terri of Marshfield and Andrew York and his wife Amy of Strafford; a daughter, Elisabeth “Betsy’’ and her partner, Danny Turnbow of Springfield, also three grandchildren.
A memorial visitation was held from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2025, at the Marshfield First Baptist Church.
A private burial will be at Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian, Mo., under the direction of Day Funeral Home of Marshfield.
A memorial has been established for the Woodworking and Agricultural Mechanics classes at Niangua School District, or a charity of the donor’s choice. Donations may be left at the funeral home.
