The Lebanon YMCA Yellowjackets Swim Team will hold an award ceremony on April 14 at 6 p.m. in the Cowan Civic Center to celebrate their achievements throughout the season, according to a press release. This follows their first place wins at last week’s Heartland Area Championship in Illinois.
The press release noted that the team took first place overall and first place in the small team category with 2,460.5 points.
“This is a monumental victory for our swimmers and a testament to their dedication and perseverance,” said Reid in the release. “Ryan and I are incredibly proud of these athletes and grateful to be a part of their journey.”
The following are the group’s results in the Heartland Area Championship, going by age category.
Girls
Eight and Under
Kayleigh Kristiansen – 100-Yard Freestyle Relay Champion, 100-Yard Medley Relay Champion, one championship final, and two top 10 finishes.
Stella McClanahan – 100-Yard Freestyle Relay Champion, 100-Yard Medley Relay Champion, third 50-Yard Freestyle and four championship finals.
Charlestyn McMillion – 100-Yard Free Relay Champion, 100-Yard Medley Relay Champion, and four-time qualifier.
Bristol Esther – 100-Yard Free Relay Champion, 100-Yard Medley Relay Champion, three-time qualifier.

Tanner Barlage – Second in the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay, one championship final and two top ten finishes.
