Young Conway team ready for spring season

The Conway High School baseball team finished 17-5 in the spring of 2021 and captured a Summit Conference championship. After the Bears lost eight seniors from that championship team, a young group struggled in the fall, sporting a record of 6-13-1, respectively. “I felt like we really started competing well by the end of the fall season and hope we can carry that into the spring,” Conway Coach Clay Bilyeu said, entering his 15th season as the Bears’ coach. “We are young. We only have five upperclassmen on our roster and will likely start five underclassmen at the varsity level.  For more on this story see Wednesday's LCR.
