Anita Marie (Harding) Pickens, 88, of Buffalo, died Monday, June 6, 2022, at Colonial Springs Healthcare Center in Buffalo.
She was born Nov. 12, 1933, in Perry, Kan. to Roy and Olive (Turpin) Harding.
On June 24, 1955, she married Paul Pickens.
Anita graduated from Kansas City, Mo. General Hospital School of Nursing in September 1954, and worked as a Registered Nurse and hospital supervisor for over 35 years.
She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a member of Grace Community United Methodist Church in Buffalo.
Survivors include four children, 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services for Anita Marie (Harding) Pickens was held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2022, in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo with Pastor Vicki Coons officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Lawn Cemetery under the care and direction of Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation was from 10-11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. The family requests donations be made to the Grace Community United Methodist Church.
