DARRYL EUGENE CLIMER

Darryl Eugene Climer, 56, of Lebanon, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022, in his home near Lebanon.

He was born Jan. 7, 1966, in Springfield, Mo. at Burge Protestant Hospital (now known as Cox North) to Donna Carol (Brame) Climer and the late Bobbie Harold Climer.

Darryl and Janet Faye Grzeczka were married July 27, 1987, at the home of her grandparents, Edgar and Lula Dunbar of Mansfield, Mo. To this union three children were born, Anthony Dale, Matthew Chad B.B.K, and Casey LeaAnn Lynn.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bobbie Climer; his father and mother-in-law, Bob and Sylvia (Dunbar) Grzeczka; seven uncles, three aunts, and a special cousin, Tommy Newton, who taught Darryl his ornery ways.

Darryl was raised in the Mansfield and Hartville area and then moved to Lebanon in 1990. he retired from Emerson (Copeland) after 25-plus years where he made many friends and gained new family members.

He had attended Community Baptist Church near Lebanon. He enjoyed helping put on the 4th of July firework show at Community Baptist Church for many years.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Janet of their home in Lebanon, and their three children (two sons and one daughter), Anthony (Tony) Climer and his wife Britney of Osage Beach; Matthew Climer of Lebanon, and Casey Climer and her significant other, Eastton Middleton and his two grandchildren, Izabella and Houstton Middleton of Hartville; his mother, Donna Climer of Mansfield; his second mother, JoAnn Carter and her husband Junior of Mountain Grove; his older brother, Dean Climer and his wife Beth of Mountain Grove, and his baby brother David Climer and nephew, Noah Climer, and his mother, Anita Baker of Springfield; his niece Amelia Rowe and her husband Joey, and two great-nieces, Joslyn and Emma Rowe of Atlanta, Iowa; and his two nephews, Christopher Roach and his wife Emily, and great-nephew Remington of Salem; Dylan Roach and his wife Andrea, and great-nephew, Kentley of Salem; two aunts, Pauline Keith of Mansfield, and Shirley Garrison of Battlefield; as well as numerous cousins and friends.

A memorial visitation service for Darryl Eugene Climer will be held from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon.
