Jimmy Joe Smith Sr., 71, of Roby, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022, in his home.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis Smith of the home; seven children, Becky Busch of Texas; Joe Smith (Cristi) of Success; Kim Young of Houston, Mo.; Jeremiah Thompson (Misty) of Roby; Jennifer Littlejohn of Evening Shade; Jamie Collier (Robert) of Evening Shade, and Joni Miller of Plato; 17 grandchildren, Amanda, Rafferty, Hannah, Hayden, Seirra, Journee, Faith, Hampton, Cotton, Tillie, Bryce, Damian, Dominique, Cora, Bobby, Jonathon, and Joshua; five great-grandchildren, Caden, Braxton, Alastair, Waylon, and Winston; one sister, Beverly Daniels (Gary) of Alma, Ark.; one brother, Dwayne McGowan (Maria) of Alma, Ark.; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Jimmy Joe Smith Sr. will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, 2022, in the Roby Baptist Church of Roby, under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert.
